Being the beautiful and popular resort and in the same time an industrial port, Odessa is also the main city in the southern part of Ukraine, and in the nineteenth century was the fourth city of Imperial Russia. Presently it is a modern place with over a million inhabitants, with an attractive center, located just a few hundred meters from the sea and with an abundance of elegant buildings of different architectural styles, immersed in lush trees.

Having a walk to the famous pedestrian street Deribasovskaya, you can see the old edifices with typical patios. Paved roads emphasize and highlight the charm of the atmosphere, preserved from the time of its birth. The street was built as the French Boulevard for the city’s elite. The vicinity of the sea makes the air is salty, which is merging with a flavor of local restaurants and bakeries, offering incredible feeling.

From the port, you can go to the famous Potemkin stairs, which counts 192 steps and get off at the Primorsky Boulevard, offering stunning views of the harbor and the sea.

Numerous historical monuments and coastline attract millions of tourists annually. The magnificent architecture, from the classical and up to the Renaissance, wide avenues and special hospitality of inhabitants of Odessa brings its special charm to the cultural wealth of the city. It has long been prominent as the pearl of the Black Sea, Odessa offers a unique of its kind the market, named Privoz, where you can purchase almost everything.

The most important museums are located in the core of Odessa, such as the Archaeological Museum, which contains a collection of precious stones and coins of ancient civilization, the Museum of Maritime History, with exhibits of shipping and shipbuilding, the Museum of Literature, with the works of the great writers of Shevchenko, Chekhov, Pushkin, Tolstoy and others.

In the north-western part of Odessa, you can have a tour in the 100 km labyrinth of underground catacombs dug in sandstone in the nineteenth century and was used by smugglers, revolutionaries and partisans in the Second World War.

In Odessa, there are more than 135 nationalities and this mixture of cultures gives the city a cosmopolitan spirit, passed in their works of such famous people as Isaac Babel, musicians as David Oistrakh, Nathan Milstein, Sviatoslav Richter, scientists and Ilya Mechnikov, Dmitri Mendeleev and Leonid Mandelstam.
